Revisions
Revisions are allowed up until I start the painting process, after all my sketches have been approved. If there is a huge mistake then I will start over on my own accord. You will not be billed extra if I do this. Minor adjustments, such as changes to color or shape of an object, are also allowed during the painting process. However, if you decide that you suddenly would like to change the focus or idea of the painting, you will be charged extra for it.
Returns
Since these are custom pieces, there is no return policy for them. However, if upon delivery there is some flaw in the piece then please contact me immediately with photos of the damage. Each issue will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, depending on when the damage occurred and how extensive it is.
Copyright
The sole copyright to the associated artworks are fully retained by the artist, Revathi V. Machan. Any unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is in violation of U.S. copyright law. Purchase of an original painting or print DOES NOT transfer the copyrights. The artist reserves the right to create printed reproductions of her original works for sale.
Essentially this means that when you buy my piece, you only have the right to display my work. You do not have the legal right to commercialize, reproduce or display my product in public exhibitions in any way, shape or form.
In certain circumstances, a piece may be personal or sensitive to a client and you may not want it to be displayed on my site or stores. In these cases, I may give up the right to exhibit the piece. This allowance will be specifically stated in the Commission Agreement.
